- krob 5y agoUgh, this is fucked up. Hope he gets lots of money $(10)^N, N=8 to 9 is okay in my book.
- rabidrat 5y agoAgreed that the government at the highest level should pay a huge amount of money. Though I think he should get $10^7 and the rest of the $10^8 should become an endowment for a criminal justice/prison reform organization and he can lead it.
- throwaway0a5e 5y agoThis dude should get a fairly high on the pay scale federal pension. Feds wanna steal your adult working life and career? Feds pay for your retirement, simple as that.
- throwaway0a5e 5y agoWith a story like that they're lucky he doesn't go postal or buy a bulldozer.
- jdhn 5y agoI would assume that his ideal form of revenge is to win against them in court.
- throwaway0a5e 5y agoWinning in court changes nothing the same way that the DEA busting one semi full of coke changes nothing. It's just the cost of doing business to the people who are doing bad things. The only way to change anything is to make the situation so insane that it causes important people high up to ask questions like "how the F did it come to this?".
- Clubber 5y ago$100 million isn't worth of the best 32 years of your life. You never get it back. You only have one life and when you are dead, you are dead. The people who did this, and all who covered it up, if they are still alive, should go to prison themselves. Just another example of how horribly broken our criminal justice system is, from the local level all the way up to the FBI. Unethical people doing unethical things, then ruining lives to cover their asses. No watchers, and if there are, they cover the corruption too. It doesn't seem anyone is doing anything about it, business as usual. In 32 years, your kids will be reading similar stories.
- IIAOPSW 5y agoThe fact that the FBI still has buildings named after J Edgar Hoover says all you need to know about their institutional values.
- newbamboo 5y agoThe FBI is corrupt and that will never change until we get rid of the FBI, which will never happen because the mainstream news media portrays them quite ironically as the saviors of our democracy.
- anonymouswacker 5y agoMainstream news media is an arm of the intelligence apparatus. And it’s a many-headed hydra, not just a singular, corrupt entity.
- nobodyandproud 5y agoI wish these lawsuits affected the agency’s pensions and benefits rather than hitting the tax payers. You did something wrong? Your pension and everyone else’s in the FBI and co. just got cut for good, in payment.
