The fact a huge amount of horrible things are already locked in does not mean that we shouldn't try to prevent locking in even more things. Especially as things probably become exponentially worse the more emissions are locked in.
- blooalien 5y agoIt completely escapes me why this basic concept is so hard to understand for so many people. "Things are bad, so let's actively fight to make sure things are vastly worse in the future." I fail to grasp how that logic is somehow better and more defensible than your simple and obvious logic; "Things are bad, so let's start making them better, or at least stop making things worse."
