I heard something similar for management. In an org chart ICs and very top executives are the happiest. Middle management tend to be the most miserable.
- Cd00d 5y agoInteresting. I think middle management is more stressful because your job is to execute on business goal, but your influence is still limited. There's too much out of your control to feel confident in success or that the failures are solely due to your own decision processes.
