I got a lot of enjoyment from it, but was during winter, under lockdown, with opportunities for real-world socializing greatly curtailed. At it's best it's like walking down the hallway of a grand university, able to drop in and out of any of the lectures and seminars in progress, not disturbing anyone but able to contribute if you want. Lately the reality is more like walking down the main thoroughfare of a low-end shopping mall, flanked by somewhat tacky shops you have no interest in entering. Like you want to find a specialist book store, but everywhere's just selling e-cigs and phone accessories. I haven't really signed in for months.
