I'm not sure how abortion relates to this. But genetically-modified food could be. By living in the US I'm not sure how OP can avoid it, as it is not labeled.

I'm not sure how abortion relates to this.
But genetically-modified food could be. By living in the US I'm not sure how OP can avoid it, as it is not labeled. So there you go with a long term exposure with unknown effect.
- ddvvff 5y agoPeople having control over their own bodily functions is one of the main arguments of pro-abortion, right? The counter argument being that when conception happens it's not just one person anymore, this has lots of levels of restriction over a person's body depending on when you consider this "conception" of a conscious being happens
- graftak 5y agoAbortion is another example of > My right to make these personal decisions regarding my bodily autonomy and also something that is typically condemned by the anti-vax crowd. The comment implies hypocrisy.
- kkoncevicius 5y agoWell this would then apply to the other side too - being pro-vaccine and pro-abortion is the same kind of hypocrisy.
- graftak 5y agoI never argued against any form of restricting bodily autonomy, all I did was state my observations about the following: > I'm not sure how abortion relates to this. Not sure who you’re arguing with here.
- ViViDboarder 5y agoNot necessarily. Many people may generally not want the government mandating or forbidding any kind of procedures, yet still find a compelling argument in public health with a vaccine. That argument doesn’t exist with something like abortion, euthanasia, psychedelics, or even something as benign as wisdom teeth removal. Not every argument can be properly inverted.
- kian 5y agoThe argument used to be quite frequent that sterilizing prostitutes, “mental defectives”, and criminals was in fact a public health and safety measure, as was aborting the unborn of said individuals against their will - that is the reasoning the US and many European countries used to engage in mandatory sterilization for decades in the twentieth century. Look up the quote “Three Generations of Imbeciles is enough”, if you want to see where public health over individual autonomy lands us.
