I used to work for the client who bought a no-code solution all devs advised against. It was meant to make it so simple to write business logic that even non-technical BAs could do it. Nobody understood how it worked and the devs spent six months trying to make it work before business admitted it's useless.

- kokekolo 5y agoOperationalizing an application within an enterprise is its own challenge, and it's adjacent to the creation of said application. There are many custom business applications that were not operationalized even when they were written well, covered all requirements, were tested and accepted. Oftentimes the businesses and vendors have no idea how to get from "the app is ready" to "the app is in use" state. Without details it's hard to tell if the problem truly was in the app complexity, or because the "non-technical BAs" did not receive proper training, or because of something else.
