Are they competing with excel ? ;)
- feoren 5y agoPeople writing programs in Excel while telling themselves that's not what they're doing is part of the problem. Excel is absolutely a programming environment; it is not a no-code solution! I'm not even talking about VBA: it's a 2D programming language (with a limited 3rd dimension in tabs) with great REPL support, integrated data, strong statistical and financial built-ins, and awful everything else. Programming is just the act of solving problems in a repeatable way using computers. Excel is programming. I've seen plenty of Excel formulas that would make experienced programmers shy away. This just makes the no-code movement look even stupider. The entire movement is predicated on selling to clueless vice presidents who have no idea what their expensive programmers are actually doing.
