That means we have just prolonged the pandemic. but that was the whole point, and I thought it was obvious to anybody who was paying attention. There's only so much medical capacity at any one time, and unless you're going to, say, build a hospital in ten days, you have to choose between 'get overwhelmed' or 'delay'.
