Can't agree more with the sentiment. We are self-hosting everything we can and quite happy with it. From security and management standpoint it's incomparably better. It does have it's management overhead, however for years we managed to create processes and workflows keeping it's to bare minimum. Contrary to popular opinion I believe that self-hosting will grow, at least for solutions requiring immense security and reliability
