I’m not sure how we test such a feature well enough to deploy it widely. But I guess the thing is, AutoPilot is using a human as the backup. The human is saving the car from making mistakes. The very thing that is supposedly worse than the car is the only thing capable of making certain decisions well enough when things get a bit dicey. Edit: typo. ‘treat’ -> ‘test’
