Why would its behaviour change? The hotwire is just replacing the button. The desk would react the same way if a human hit the button
- neilv 5y agoI don't know. For example, would the mechanism that stops the motor on resistance work properly in a given product model, if (from its perspective) the human was holding down the button, or pushing the button repeatedly, even when there was an obstruction? Another thing I'd also look at, for a particular model, was how faithful the electrical/mechanical interfacing of the hack, and whether that had implications for system operation safety.
