Just because you don't comprehend vaccines (plural - you know there are multiple right?) doesn't mean that nobody does. There's no conceivable mechanism by which people would drop dead three years from now. And sure you can say "ah but what if we've missed something", but that argument applies equally to the banana I had for lunch - you can't prove it won't cause Armageddon in a hundred years! Maybe I should have played it safe and not eaten it?
At some point you have to draw a line and say yes, I understand how the world works well enough to make intelligent decisions. And if you don't, then listen to those who do.
(It should at least be clear to everyone that not vaccinating definitely kills people, right now, at scale. You're going to need a lot of evidence - specific, direct evidence - that the risk of bad consequences of vaccination is somehow worse than that.)
- guilhas 5y agoI do comprehend, that is why I will not get vaccinated, until they actually approve a vaccine without being for emergency use. Or for example approve Novavax which is not as experimental as mRNA vaccines Or even Sputnik V looks safer than what's currently emergency approved in EU
- jitl 5y agoJohnson & Johnson is a traditional “deactivated virus” vaccine.
- raphlinus 5y agoNo, J&J (also known as Janssen) is an adenovirus vector vaccine, as are Sputnik V and AstraZeneca. The main inactivated virus vaccines are Chinese CoronaVac and Indian Covaxin (VLA2001 is in trials also). The Novavax is a protein subunit vaccine, which is also more traditional vaccine technology than mRNA or even adenovirus vector.
