Presumably the goal is to broaden the market. As a smaller player, I can capture carbon today but wouldn’t know how to sell it. I expect there’s some high barrier to entry. By decentralizing and codifying the market portion of this, I know the exact steps to entering the market, and the costs to enter are likely lower.
