Can this fruit be saved? (2005)
- Comevius 5y agoThe question is 16 years later whether we can be saved from banana production given how unsustainable it is.
- NotSwift 5y agoI agree that the large banana plantations currently use a lot of chemicals that harm the environment. But the same can be said of many other large scale agricultural products. When you go to tropical countries you will find that they frequently that bananas also are frequently grown in gardens and on the side of the roads. It is unlikely that these are all treated with a lot of chemicals, so a sustainable cultivation appears to be possible.
