Nice pictures of cliffside irrigation sluiceways, but I was expecting to see an irrigation system that defies gravity by lifting water using a surprising method, perhaps a hydraulic ram based system. Hydraulic rams are solely water powered devices that can lift water to a level higher than the level of the input water source. See [1] and [2].
