Are you a carnivore in the strict sense, as in you eat absolutely nothing but animal meat like pork chops, chicken breast, even using animal fat for cooking? If so, I'd be curious if you have any resources that have information on the topic. I've heard of other people following a similar diet and while I'm surprised it's possible to survive as a human on such a diet, I'm more surprised it doesn't lead to uncomfortable digestive results.
- hirundo 5y agoI'm around 99% carnivore, plus salt and occasional exceptions like ready-to-eat meats with seasoning and maybe some minced peppers, or a caffeinated diet drink. Largely I follow the advice in Paul Saladino's book, The Carnivore Code, and I recommend it. I started this specifically to address digestive issues. I had chronic constipation and bloating that was consistently made worse when eating more fiber. Moving to a low residue diet resolved most of those issues in one day. I was never a big meat eater and resisted even trying that approach for many years. But the effect was such a great relief that I just continued it. As importantly it has resolved my diabetes and the majority of my obesity. Veganism helped with those too, but carnivory has helped more and proven more sustainable for me. I think it's more important to move away from the toxic junk than whether you move toward meat or veg.
