It's lucrative to let clients architect apps
- eurasiantiger 5y agoIt’s lucrative to give the customer what they want, even if it isn’t what they need.
- codingclaws 5y agoWhat if the customer wants something that is bad?
- eurasiantiger 5y agoBad for whom? Are we talking killbots, slow page loads or something reasonable in context, like having an unstable system that tends to crap out during business hours? I guess they will find out the hard way, or in the care of some other provider. In my experience, asking customers to change their plans, however prudent and well articulated, tends to start suspicions that lead to a change of provider UNLESS the customer’s team and the developer team are practically one team that openly communicates about everything. Getting to that point in a corporate-to-corporate setting is unicorn territory.
- smt88 5y agoThis is a clickbait nothing of an article. The author doesn't let clients architect apps. No one in their right mind does. We do domain discovery and reinterpret that into the app.
