A new version of GitLab is out which comes with a bunch of features for the $99/user/month plan such as code quality inline in merge requests, status checks API etc. Had hoped this would be available all paid tiers of Gitlab :(
Does also seem to have added tracing and metrics of CI pipelines/jobs but only for Datadog

We're always working to sustain and add to our open source offering while also using our buyer-based open core mythology to select the right tier for features. https://about.gitlab.com/company/stewardship/ https://about.gitlab.com/company/stewardship/ More details here: https://gitlab-com.gitlab.io/cs-tools/gitlab-cs-tools/what-is-new-since/?tab=stats https://gitlab-com.gitlab.io/cs-tools/gitlab-cs-tools/what-i...
- wdb 5y agoI understand but personally I would at least expect feature parity with the CI features of Github. I mean, I don't understand why inline code quality, approval checks API, or the ability to combine multiple code quality reports of a job needs to fall under Ultimate but things like Terraform State is for all tiers.
