Tl;dr- People who have Schizophrenia are more frequently found to also have marijuana use disorder than before. Correlation. This is not been proven causal (which, btw why is it never phrased such that “people inclined towards schizophrenia are more inclined to abuse drugs” which seems like a pretty obvious line to me but I just work in medical publishing, I’m not the actual doctor). Remember everyone: someone is funding all research, often times they have an agenda and a good press agent when they get some results they like. That said, this piece very specifically says “we can’t conclude a causal relationship, we need further research” (or, more specifically, funding for our research)
