Air-Purifying Plants Are a Myth
- simonblack 5y agoPseudo science: Somebody hears that plants can take excess CO2 out of the air and replace it with oxygen, but doesn't have the chemical knowledge to understand that plain chemistry. What they hear is "Plants take out bad stuff and put back good stuff". From that it's an easy mental leap to believe "Plants take out all the bad poisons and give back fresh, unpolluted air". You can't really blame them, they just don't have sufficient knowledge to know where they're going wrong.
