Gas-based ACs have just 3 moving parts: hot-side fan, cold-side fan, gas compressor This new SMA-based AC will need: hot-side fan, cold-side fan, hot-side pump, cold-side pump, at least 4 valves, stack compressors ("hydraulic rams or electric actuators"). This looks like way more moving parts than gas systems
