A point to keep in mind here, PGE is a company. Their primary goal is to not be the cause of the wildfire and pay damages.
If it also reduces the frequency of wildfires, great.
- dredmorbius 5y agoNB: there's PG&E (Pacific Gas and Electric), and PGE (Portland General Electric). Whilst their service areas differ (PG&E serves California, PGE serves Oregon), they're near enough and similarly-enough named that the distinction is useful. Both are for-profit companies.
