I just find myself beyond shocked that a dispute over software could devolve to literal death threats, deportation threats, and the level of just general "ass-hattery" this whole thing turned into. It's so far beyond ridiculous that I wouldn't have even believed it without verifying it myself had someone just told me about it rather than having witnessed the insanity of it personally.
