Welcome to the free market. Republicans want a government small enough that they can drown it in a bathtub, to quote their patron saint Grover Norquist.
What they'll earn is a government so small that it can't be utilized to contend with the entities that do govern their lives, which, being non-governmental, are not constrained by the constitution.
