Perhaps a dumb question but why couldn't I just use pattern matching for this? Your essentially writing the pattern matching rules out anyway. Type -> Type ->

Perhaps a dumb question but why couldn't I just use pattern matching for this? Your essentially writing the pattern matching rules out anyway.
Type -> Type -> Effectiveness
isEffective a b
| fire water = supereffective
| water fire = noteffective
etc...
- nightfly 5y agoIn Common Lisp, multiple dispatch lets you provide a new specialization of a function at a different time/place. I imagine it's similar in Julia.
