I don't get the outrage? Users bought an ad machine and they are being served ads. That should have been understood. Solution: Buy non-smart TVs
- stiltzkin 5y agoUsers bought more than $200 streaming device without ads, Google pushed a new update to Android TV OS which include ads 2/3 of your homescreen. Shield users expected NVIDIA to disable these ads or add a new launcher. NVIDIA does not deliver, users are now testing third party launchers.
- matty22 5y agoShouldn't the assumption at this point be the opposite? Nearly every smart device ever released has either shown ads or tracked your activity and sold that to the highest bidder. Buying a streaming device and expecting the opposite at this point is crazy.
