The Pros and Cons of DRY Code
- themodelplumber 5y agoI like the mention of WET--Write Everything Twice. I use this in my notetaking system sometimes. There are places in the notes where it's ridiculous to have to open up a separate note file for some directly-relevant information. If managing the separate writeups gets too tricky later on, it's easy enough to implement needed changes at that time. If I don't need the full writeup in both places, I do tend to date-stamp the shorter version and note where more details can be found though, as a useful middle ground.
