- zabzonk 5y agoShould really have "using ITS" in the title - I would guess that most programmers actually used TOPS-10, I know I did.
- gumby 5y agoITS was the most programmer-friendly development system I ever used before the Lispm. It helped that the PDP-10's architecture is so user friendly: a simple, symmetrical reduced instruction set.
- larsbrinkhoff 5y agoITS is very convenient to use, and the lack of red tape is very refreshing. It's a welcome retreat from today's stack of complexity.
- larsbrinkhoff 5y agoI considered that, but thought the distinction would be lost on 99% of the viewers. I think I will do a similar video running WAITS which is basically the TOPS-10 style programming environment.
