Jio is doing the same gameplan in India, and that’s already proven successful as far as I can tell. I think it’s sustainable considering the vast majority of the world can’t afford an iPhone or even a Samsung, so there’s a large market. Also, once someone has a phone that can run a web browser, have a camera, and use messaging apps, then that’s basically set for this target market.
