How applicable is this model to rural or mountainous regions?
- iptrans 5y agoA mesh network requires short hops or line of sight and willing participants. You might come up short on all accounts. A traditional WISP model might be more practical, if you can secure tower sites.
- nycmesh 5y agoCommunity networks are pretty common in rural areas in other countries. My favorites are guifi.net and b4rn.org.uk. They both use lots of fiber running through farms.
