It seems like what Dr. K is doing is the real-life (and modernized) version of the Frasier Crane show. I can definitely see the value of a service like the one Dr. K provides... helping to destigmatize psychiatry and provide mental health help to the gamer community. Though I am sure the article is right that there are some potential ethical issues since Dr. K isn't truly providing therapy to anybody.
