While it's a cool idea, I can only see it working first thing in the morning when everyone gets to the office but before you start work. Otherwise, chances are you'll be interrupting somebody's work, which if you're a programmer can be a huge hit to productivity.
- fragsworth 15y agoMaybe increased blood flow on the whole averages against the interruptions, causing a net increase in productivity?
- jrockway 15y agoAfter my muscles have used up all my glucose / glycogen, there's none left for my brain :)
- jrockway 15y agoProgrammers come to work in the morning?
- redthrowaway 15y agoHypothetically, were programmers to show up at the same time in some sort of morning analogue, I could see group pushups having a net positive effect.
- eru 15y agoI'm afraid the morning analogues don't happen at the same time.
- fatalisk 15y agoAnother benefit is that in the morning your body has the highest level of testosterone, which helps in muscle growth and you could have a protein drink for breakfast. Yeah, I can see the being snapped out of flow issue to be a big one.
