Though personally I think the truth is somewhere more in the middle. Obviously illegal content is bad. But the push has been funded by right wing anti-sex, anti-lgbtq orgs and MindGeek does legitimately at least at face value do work to remove illegal content (if anyone works there or has insight that'd be interesting. porn tech is cool imho). versus absolutely nothing as the standard for basically all the rest of the internet.
