"...which I'm guessing can be checked relatively easily (add up what the major suppliers claim to be shipping - HTC, Samsung, B&N - if you can't get in the ball park then something might be up)." I would like to know the numbers too but I think it's not that easy to determine or else someone would have done it by now. It seems the only reference there is to the number of Android devices is when Google mentions it during earnings or @arubin tweets it. No hard numbers exist anywhere.
