If there is a place for principled contrarianism, something so many HN people cherish, it is NOT in dealing with the climate crisis.
This is NOT the time to be clever by thinking out of the box. We are very much firmly stuck in a box we need to sort out. The solutions are obvious, painful and difficult, but they need to be taken.
