Oddly, this works up and down the OSI model...do you own the hardware your VM runs on, or does Amazon? Do you own your phone, or is it effectively a lease (because after 2 years, you 'buy' a new phone on payments...but then hand in your old phone for credit....that's now ownership, per se)
