When they blame it on the deliverer, say “Do you realise you are legally responsible for any illegal action you pay someone else to perform?”
Asking barbed, rhetorical questions to a stranger over the phone isn't "being assertive", especially when the person you're speaking to most likely has little to no control over the thing you are complaining about.
To quote The Big Lebowski: "You're not wrong, Walter. You're just an asshole!"
- z3ncyberpunk 5y agoSo is the person/company who illegally puts junk mail into a person's mailbox which has been clearly marked with no soliciting.
- wombatmobile 5y agoWhy would anyone do that to someone who has little or no control over the thing they are complaining about? That would be a waste of everybody's time. First, ask for the name of the person responsible for the thing you want to talk about. Then ask to speak to that person by name.
