I actually encourage the people I hire to not work on tech projects on the side. Go take up an artistic hobby or just go play with your kid. Unplugging from work is healthy; grinding side projects until you burn out is not.

- wayoutthere 5y agoWhich is a good way to burn out on tech in your early 30s! Speaking from experience here — using the thing you do to make a living as a creative escape isn’t really much of an escape.
