Building a cult of personality is real real hard.
But building lasting institutions in incredibly harder.
Nikola Tesla was resurrected by the eponymous car manufacturer in the popular mindset. Thomas Edison built General Electric which is still a massive conglomerate in many diversified areas. A lasting legacy in terms of a business entity is super hard to build.
- bilbobagman 5y agoGive the original Tesla founders enough cash and they would be able to do an equal or better job at building the company. They generally seem brighter and more capable than Elon.
