Cryptocurrency in its current popular implementation is a fraud, there is no political affiliation. Cryptocurrency as an academic concept is a cool way of addressing the needs necessary conditions of a medium of exchange, still apolitical. Cryptocurrency as a decentralized medium is maybe some kind of libertarian (not the same as right wing) ideal, but like communism I see no evidence it would actually work that way. Calling it right wing in what I presume is the sense of American politics misunderstands both the political right and blockchain technology.
