In fact this is a way for the EU to introduce eu wide taxation through the back door.
This is power that countries have always had, and it’s now moving into the EU realm. It’s more centralization and more eu control.
So it’s a step towards what you want.
- simfoo 5y agoLiterally the first sentence: A dozen draft proposals, which still need to be approved by the bloc's 27 member states and the EU parliament, were announced on Wednesday. So not even approved by the member states yet :/
- zpeti 5y agoI don’t see any countries objecting to it or threatening vetos, as has happened with some other things. Presumably this will pass. Since it’s a new form of taxation that everyone seems ok with. Perfect for any government.
