I first learned the definition of "gaslight" like 10 years ago from a Project Manager friend who said I was "gaslighting" her because I secretly fixed a bug she complained about and pretended it was never a bug to begin with. I didn't know the meaning of the word so I looked it up. It's related to the plot of a movie I believe. It's a great word to describe the situation we were in. Nowadays people use "gaslight" to mean something different and it annoys me. But what do I know, I am not a linguist.
