Looks fascinating, kind of like Kafka. I'm sure someone will chime in with why Event Sourcing can't be done with append only logs like Kafka etc. Still don't know why.
- kjnilsson 5y agoLog rentention is probably the main reason. Event sourcing typically would need some kind of snapshot to be calculated to replace the head of the log before it is deleted. If you had unbounded storage you could perhaps.
- EdwardDiego 5y agoKafka's key based log compaction can be applied to this.
