I do like the ideas in that presentation and I'm confident that they can be realized in the Netherlands, the acceptance and the experience to make it work is there and widespread not only among officials but also in the population. But... It's a fairly flat country. Ideal for bicycle riding. What works well there, is not practical in other regions with a vastly different hilly or even mountainous topography.
