As always, there's an XKCD[6] for that. Albeit for the phone, but same idea.
Would be nice if the side buttons controlled ringer volume only when the phone is either locked or on the home screen. If I'm in an app of any sort, chances are the volume I want to adjust is the media, not the ringer!

- bouke 5y agoOn iOS I’ve configured the buttons to always change media sound, not the ringer because of this.
- function_seven 5y agoNever fails. I complain about something, and it turns out there's an option that'll handle it. Thanks. I just did the same. Not sure why I didn't see that before.
- bbarn 5y agoHere's a problem I didn't realize existed since my iPhones have been on vibrate for the last ten years.
- bouke 5y agoFor me the issue with Silent Mode is that it keeps getting integrated into other apps. So when silent, Photos mutes audio in video and live photos for example.
