Couldn't they secure funding to do a more meaningful study where they actually examined random samples of population post COVID and looked for abnormalities in lung function or cognitive abilities, etc. ? Considering the stakes this seems like an important question to answer correctly and gathering data about potential long term complication sounds valuable.
