I'm more annoyed by the things people say, rather than how they pronounce them. The way a phrase or expression crops up on one or two websites and then, before you know it, it seems the entire English speaking world has adopted those phrases to the exclusion of all synonyms. Even those they previously used.
Current 'fume' favourites:
1: "Reach out" --instead of contact /email/ ring, etc
2: Beginning your answer to every question with "So"
Q: What's your name?
A: So, my name is Fred
Q: And what do you do?
A: So, I'm a bus driver
3: The word "awesome" which has seemingly replaced every other word in existence to describe something you approve of.
4: The word "super" which has, likewise, seemingly replaced the word "very" in any situation which needs emphasis.
