Migrating ToolJet Server from Ruby on Rails to Node.js
- al2o3cr 5y agonon-blocking I/O system allows simultaneous processing of requests resulting in faster performance ... we will be working on migrating the Ruby on Rails endpoints and query services to Node.js Node is such badass rockstar tech that you don't even need to WRITE the new version to know it's gonna be faster :P
- jithindasad 5y agoIf the platform is too unopinionated you will generally end up with: 1) A project with many competing ideas Or 2) A team with some people feeling like they are not heard
- arriu 5y agoOne thing you'll miss will be the rails scaffold generators. I'd encourage the team to build their own node.js generators specific to whatever dev practices you decide on using something like the inquirer package.
