The ESP32 modules with FCC certification appear to all have RF shields over sections of the board with the antenna outside. It's possible the space saved by omitting an RF shield will foreclose any certification. Okay for prototyping if you are don't mind polluting your local luminous ether, but check before planning commercial use.
