For what it is worth, the incredibly irresponsible and unethical Artist's actions seemed a lot closer to high class cybercrime..which the secret service actually handled at the time. The only reason he wasn't charged is because the secret service didn't see him as a national threat. If the FBI had been the one running the operation he would have been Aaron Swartzed.
